Hello! Everyone, Welcome back to my Blog's second post. I wish you all belated merry Christmas, hope you all enjoyed very well. As i promised in my First post of my blog, now i am going to brief about the latest announces of automobile industry.
Urusenna Millennio
I think most of you all confused about the title! Actually i am going to speak about the latest announcements given by Lamborghini (Urus and Terzo Millennio) and McLaren (Senna) combined as Urusenna Millennio title given by me. The reason to choose theses cars is none other than my personal interest on Lamborghini, as i am an Lamborghinian. My favorite car is Lamborghini Aventador Roadster SV and that makes me to speak about these cars.
I hope you all came across the name Lamborghini and McLaren, which are one of the top most companies that manufactures V12, V10 & V8 engine Hyper cars.The companies recently unveiled their upcoming models:
- Lamborghini Terzo Millennio
- Lamborghini Urus
- McLaren Senna
1. Terzo Millennio
Terzo millennio (TM) is the concept car which posses the futuristic technology( electric and self- healing). The name Trezo Millennio means Third Millennium in Italian. The company unveiled the concept in November 7th 2017. It was manufactured by Lamborghini collaboration with American university of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) focuses on 5 different areas:
- Energy Storage
- Propulsion System
- Materials Innovation
- Visionary Design
- Emotion.
TM is an electric car which has carbon fiber as its body which has the ability of self healing capability with the help of micro channels contains healing chemistries that monitors and repairs the cracks and damages by itself. The body itself acts as a battery and it is powered by electric motors. TM has has 4 electric motors, which are placed in each of it's wheels.
The nano tubes are installed in the panels, the small ones that are thin enough to fix between the layers of the body for supplying the car with a large amount of energy simultaneously. The car becomes a big battery. The date of launching this car into the market is not yet decide because the R&D department need to research on their feature of self healing. But someway these car can be expected in late 2018 or early 2019.
2. Urus ( #Since we made it possible)
Urus is the first SUV model in the history of Lamborghini. Urus means the another name for Aurochs which is a wild Eurasian OX. It was unveiled on December 4th 2017 and will begin its production of about 4500 units from February 2018, which 1000 units are produced in the first production year i.e., 2018 and remaining 3500 in 2019. The Urus is a 4 seater with 5 doors which has 4.0 Twin Turbo V8 enginethat delivers 650HP and 850 ND, with 627 Torque @ 2,250 RPM and having 8-speed automatic Transmission.
The company announces the concept of Urus in 2012 Beijing Auto Show and announced that they will launch its product in 2017, as they said the Urus was launched in late 2017. The model was the retuned version of their parent company Audi's 4.0 V8 that is used across in some of the models Audi S and RS and R8 Lineup and shared with Bentley Continental V8 Coupe and Flying spur V8.
The car Has 6 pre-defined driving modes which suits for different types of road surface, terrain, and critical conditions:
- Strada
- Sport
- Corsa
- Sabbia
- Terra
- Neve
The Strada, Sport and Corsa are useful for sports driving along the track while Sabbia, Terra and Neve are used to adjust the suspension, so that the car moves more agile by incresing the ground clearence.
3. Senna
McLaren was famous for F1 Racers and their Handmade cars. The Company announces their latest car teaser Senna which was tribute to the former Brazilian F1 racer Ayrton Senna who was the winner of the three Formula one world championship for McLaren in 1988,1990,1991. He died in an accident in 1994 san Marino Grand Prix. It was Unveiled by the company on December 10th 2017. The car is Planning to launch in 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
It was modified version of 720's 4.0 Twin turbo V8 engine, with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that has 789 HP. it was the light weight design of about 1,198 kg. The car uses the dihedral doors as same as F1 and P1. It was produced for the richest persons as limited editions. The car is listed at the price of USD $1.03 Million.
As every car is hand made at the McLaren production center, England. The company produces only 500 units which are already sold. The final car was sold for auction at USD $ 2.6 Million. Deliveries have been scheduled to Third quarter of 2018.
